Paradise Cove Wedding, Orlando Florida

March 13th 2014 was the day Bianca & Jorge said those famous words " I DO" at Paradise Cove in Orlando FL. This wedding was beautiful from beginning to end. You can feel the LOVE between them and the atmosphere at the reception was all about having fun. This is certainly the type of couple i want to photograph for every time.  They chose there vendors carefully and I believe hired vendors with Love and Passion for what they do. I am posting some of the pictures here, but if you want to see more of Bianca's & Jorge wedding visit my website at www.raycolonphotography.com and my Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/RayColonPhotography

Don't be that Guy!

After 10 years of shooting weddings & special events, I have come to the point where I feel I have to tell all my Brides & Grooms to really consider the option of an unplugged wedding. I know the notion is fairly new and slowly catching on. If more couples really realized how sometimes there guest can ruin a beautiful picture and memory. Guest are so eager to take that picture and post it to there social media accounts that they forget they were invited to be a part of the Couples very special day , not to photograph it. The couple has hired and invested thousands of dollars into a Professional Photographer. The fact that guest are running around with there cell phones and tablets taking pictures takes away from that special day. In my opinion the guest should just sit back and enjoy the day and the memories. I saw this video on Vimeo and thought I had to share it with everyone. I hope you enjoy the video , click on the link below.

50's Theme Engagement Shoot

2014 Is starting out to be a great year. I booked one of the most exciting couples i have meet in a long time. Bianca & George are scheduled to exchange vows in March 2014 at the Beautiful Paradise Cove in Orlando Florida. While at our wedding consultation with Bianca & George , I came up with a thought of having a 50's theme engagement session. Bianca & George were down for this great era theme shoot and with out hesitation began shopping for there outfits. Last Saturday was the day we choose to capture the session at " Old Town Amusement Park" in Orlando Florida. The park is perfect for this shoot as it is geared and decorated in this era. Bianca & George took it a step further and hired " Dave " the car guy and his 1958 Chevy Belair. This was the perfect add on for the shoot. Here are some of the photos of the shoot and if you and your loved one would love to capture a theme engagement shoot , send me and email to schedule it.   For more picture of this beautiful and creative shoot visit & Like my Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/raycolonphotography

Brooklyn NY Wedding

This month I was blessed with the opportunity of capturing Jackie & Eddie's Wedding in Brooklyn, NY. This was my first wedding in NYC in 4 years. Things have really changed in NYC especially in my hometown of Brooklyn, that's for another blog post. Jackie & Eddie are a young couple full of energy and Love. This picture was captured in the beautiful area of Prospect Park Piers. We planned to take pictures here since the back drop of the city is amazing! I have to say I am really happy we chose this spot. It was a little challenging since the couple was not accustomed to being center stage of so much attention. I had a huge crowd surrounding us during the whole shoot. I warned the couple that no one could resist stopping to stare at a Beautiful Bride. The crowd was so involved, I had people coming up to me and suggesting poses.... LOL .

The Wedding of Jennifer & Andre was captured by myself Ray Colon Photography on 01/26/2013 at the P.G.A Country Club in Port St. Lucie Florida. The weather was perfect for such a beautiful outdoor ceremony. There were about 175 guest in attendance that day, all including myself privileged in being part of such a special moment in the lives of this young couple. I am always thankful when I can capture the memories for a lifetime for my couples. This wedding was pure excitement all they way, from the ceremony to the reception Jennifer & Andre know how to party. The D.J. "Elite D.J." was awesome. The party was non-stop dancing all night. I will be posting more pics in the days to come.

I had the pleasure of capturing Jennifer & Andrea's Mommy 2 Be pictures this weekend at Jensen Beach Port St.Lucie in Florida. We had an early morning shoot, so we could capture the beautiful sunrise.  It was well worth the lack of sleep. I want to thank 7-11 for staying open all day and allowing me to get my Hot cup of coffee. Here is my favorite picture of the shoot, more to come soon. Check out my FaceBook for more great shots of the day.
